In conflict-prone areas such as Middle Shabelle, Galgadud, and Lower Juba, IHADS facilitates community dialogues, legal awareness, and GBV response initiatives. We offer training on safeguarding, child protection, civic education, and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), often targeting displaced populations, survivors of violence, and frontline social workers. These activities are essential in fragile contexts where formal protection mechanisms are weak or absent. IHADS worked with UNSOM/UNTMIS to deliver a human rights and protection training for civil society groups in Hobyo, Harardhere and Guricel and now planned for the similar activities in Buloxaji, Jubaland.
