In drought-prone districts of Lower Juba, Bakool, and parts of Galgaduud, IHADS supports clean water access through the construction and rehabilitation of boreholes, water trucking during emergencies, and hygiene promotion campaigns. We incorporate gender and disability inclusion to ensure access for vulnerable populations, particularly women, girls, and persons with disabilities. Community-led sanitation (CLTS) has also been introduced in rural villages to reduce open defecation and waterborne disease outbreaks.
